Brief description and main aims

A rural health unit located at Poblacion, Alegria Cebu.They offer varied health and emergency services to the community including maternal and child care. The conduct campaign and promote health practices in the community

Main Activities

Assist monitoring children and elderly health situation

Conduct regular community based medical missions

Conduct of Health related training, programs and activities

Assistance to local government’s Disaster Risk Reduction Mitigation and Management activities

Volunteer tasks

Assist Health and Emergency services at the RHU

Assist delivery in birthing center

Assist the regular conduct of community based medical missions

Assist nutrition related preparations for its program “Kusina sa Kahimsug ug Pag-amoma”

Assist conduct of health related training to communities

Join monthly meetings of the barangay nutrition scholars

Assist the different activities of the Barangay Nutrition Service (BNS)

Assist on the reports of the municipal nutrition action coordinator

Volunteer requirements / Skills

Preferably with background and or strong interests on medical/health public services

Flexible, open minded and able to adopt local life situations

Independent with limited supervision

Innovative, competent, team player and with sense of community
