Brief description and main aimsCoastal Conservation and Education Foundation, Inc., it is composed of innovative and collaborative professionals working “on the ground”, primarily through local governments, with the people of the coastal communities who most directly benefit from a healthy marine ecosystem. Their desire is s to improve the quality of life of coastal communities has also led to providing social services above the shoreline. |
Main ActivitiesEnvironment friendly enterprises such as marine ecotourism, seaweed farming, locally-based service businesses and organizing drinking water supply system Education Management related to environmental, energy efficiency, governance and financial Information systems and geographical information systems Conservation, Protection and Sustainable management of the coastal and marine environment Build leadership for improved coastal resource mgt. |
Volunteer tasksAssist the organization’s office and field work which include but are not limited to the following: development of promotional and presentation materials, conduct advocacy campaigns in schools, communities, institutions as well as organize related events, etc. Assist during training/capacity building programs, community visits and other community development related work Assist writing of proposals for grants/donations and other resource mobilization activities |
Volunteer requirements / SkillsFlexible, open-minded and team player High interest or has special skills on environment and biodiversity, research and development and community development work Keen interest (hobbies/skills/talent) on any of the following: photography, video, animation and other multi-media documentation, graphic arts, information technology, website and social media development and management Mentally, psychologically and physically fit for outdoor work, field work and community relations Independent and can handle limited supervision Interest in presentation and communication skills |
