Brief description and main aims
Yamaguchi prefecture is located in the most west side of the main island of Japan.
You will be able to get chances to deeply experience a rural Japanese life in Hagi region of Yamaguchi prefecture.
Nowadays this area is getting popular among foreign tourists.
5 staffs are selling the local products like fresh vegetable, fruits and sweets made with local originated materials at the shop called Michinoeki. The owner family moved to Hagi from a city a few years ago to support and promote this area. The Michinoeki shop is a part of their project to empower a local community and farm. Since there are many elderlies living around the shop, we are also aiming to support those seniors by delivering the products and meals.

Volunteer tasks
Working with the shop staffs at Michinoeki, helping to advertise the shop information in English or other languages to foreign tourists, communicating with tourists and local people, supporting local elderies.
It is possible to do volunteer work at the kindergarten and international school if the volunteer has preferences.
