Recyclables for charity (RUS-26)
|
Brief description and main aimsRecyclables for Charity ( ) is nonprofitable volunteer association that organizes monthly campaigns of waste sorting in the streets of Samara. It also manages the Ecocenter, where people can pass their sorted waste for recycling 6 days a week. All profit from recyclables goes to local social charitable projects. The environmental movement was founded in 2017 and since handed over more than 300 tons of waste for recycling and donated over 850 thousand rubles for charity. We collaborate with a lot of companies focused on expanding sustainability and social entrepreneurship programs. Among them: Ikea Russia, Leroy Merlin, Sber (largest Russian bank), Splat (one of the largest producers of oral care products), MEGA mall (large network of malls in Russia), VkusVill (network of stores of healthy groceries), many other local businesses and also regional and federal recycling companies. These companies highly appreciate our contribution to environment protection and financial aid for social projects. Our mission gives us credit from more and more corporations and enthusiasts. |
Main ActivitiesEvery first Saturday of the month volunteers organize public campaigns of waste sorting for people in Samara. Afterwards, they send all materials for recycling and reuse. They also founded an Ecocenter where people can come to leave their segregated wastes for recycling from Monday to Saturday. The project also constantly holds lectures, masterclasses, eco-festivals, pub quizzes, child shows to educate and help people to sort out their household waste. Team sends all collected waste to recyclers and donate all profit to local charity and social non-profit organizations. |
