Brief description and main aims

Knowledge Garden Education School provides crèche education for the children in the community.

It admits children from 6 months old to 6 years old and has about 40 students and 8 teachers.

Main Activities

We enable the kids to play and learn independently while being able to share and cooperate with others
We teach our students about respect, self confidence and awareness of the needs of others
We give the kids practical activities to develop various skills

Volunteer tasks

The volunteer's tasks include:

Assisting the teachers in the classrooms
Taking care of the kids, cleaning/ dressing
Playing with the children and keeping them safe
Helping prepare snacks for the children during break time
Helping kids who need special care or attention in certain subjects
Helping to tidy up the classroom

Volunteer requirements / Skills

The volunteer should:

Preferably an English and French native speaker - the working language is English
Be motivated to work with children
Be able to work independently and to bring enthusiasm and motivation to the project
Be creative and spontaneous

Having a musical sense is also more than welcome. As the school and the kindergarten is environmental friendly, the volunteer should have an ecological attitude.

Location

The school is located in Kasoa Millennium City.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteers will be staying with a host family outside the project.
