Kitchen Garden and Organic Farm (THA-7)

Brief description and main aims

The world's food problem has been growing, VSA Thailand recognises that making one's own oos is important in the 22nd century. We found that organic farm networks have been running as the small organic farms in their family. We come up with the idea to support them with our volunteers' hands and to eat fresh food from the farm that said: "We grow what we eat, we eat what we grow". Moreover, volunteers will learn to share various planting ways between Asian and Western styles. 

Volunteer tasks

The volunteer will work on kitchen garden, VSA organic graden and local farm with local farmer in the village. Agriculture philosophy. Volunteers will help them to prepare soils, plant and take care of plants by water. They will also eat organic vegetables from the organic farm. 

Location

Songkhla, south of Thailand.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Stay at VSA Learning Home. Shared room together, seperate male and female. Shaired toilet. There are common area and kitchen with host family. 

Internet can be used at the school. 

There is a little kitchen garden which can be ingredients of cooking
