This project is located in Buenos Aires, and there is a program of volunteers in a network of public hospitals, like: hospital of oncology Ángel H. Roffo, Children Hospital Ricardo Gutiérrez, Acute care Hospital Parmenio Piñero, and Burn Hospital. There are medical students, physicians, adult patients, and their families. The main objective is to help the day-to-day work of the hospitals and to spend time with the patients.
Originally, the hospital volunteering program was created by Dr Perazzo in November 1972 for the Angel H. Roffo Institute of Oncology as a non-profit entity, and which has been in operation uninterruptedly for 46 years. Dr Perazzo summoned a group of women, established a regulation and began the volunteer work. Now, this program works with all of the publich hospitals of the city of Buenos Aires.
They will have to work for 3 hours in the hospital and prepare activities, such as games or reading sessions at home. Different tasks are performed such as reading aloud to patients, taking care of the children of the visiting families, accompanying the diagnosis and treatment process, etc.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)
Volunteers are received in a Hostel, located in the city of Buenos Aires.
It is important to note that volunteers are not authorized to perform any technical task, for which the the hospital already has staff.
