La Boca is one of the most touristic neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Despite this, it is one of the most
vulnerable of the City of Buenos Aires. La Boca was one of the richest areas until a great epidemic took over its population. Most of the people moved to the north of the city and this square was occupied by the poorest and middle class people. There are "conventillos", which are houses with many rooms for several families. The conditions of most of them are quite inefficient. Historically it was an area of European immigration. They are currently immigrants from Paraguay, Bolivia, Chili. It is a mixture of colors, social classes and economic conditions.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Volunteers are received in our volunteer house, located in the City of Buenos Aires. They usually take their lunch at the project. It is important to be flexible in eating local food. For the rest of the meals, they will have what is necessary to cook in our house. Get ready to live in a community environment!
