Brief description and main aims
Grace Primary School is a private facility that offers classes for grades 1 to 7. The school has a capacity to accommodate 500 kids who come from families in the surrounding neighbourhoods and beyond. Students from age 3 to 12 study a variety of subjects, including Swahili, English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Ethics, Vocational Skills, Sports and ICTs. All classes are taught in English. The school was founded in 2002 as part of a church project through the Deeper Life Ministries from Nigeria.

Cultural ExposureIn the project, you will be able to learn to teach and to deal with a different school system and with the different personalities of the alumni. You will also experience a proper cultural exchange through the friendships created with the students and the staff members. |
Main Activities
The school's mission is to develop, nurture and train Tanzanian youths spiritually, socially and academically. Grace Nursery & Primary School is a private facility with no assistance from the government. It hosts 30 teachers and the fees that the students’ families pay, cover their salaries. Also, the school offer computer literacy course for the kids in particular standard 1 –7.

LocationSinza -Dar Es Salaam. Sinzais a very lively area, with plenty of bars and clubs. Young Tanzanians love to go out in this area during the weekend. |
Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)Volunteers will stay in a host family. The family will provide breakfast and dinner while volunteers can have lunch at the school. Depending on the location of the host family, volunteers will walk or take a daladala (minibus)to the project. They can also take the school bus. |
