Brief description and main aimsFundación Luis Braille de Honduras is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation that provides support and rehabilitation to blind people so they develop themselves as useful individuals in society. The organisation’s main aim is to provide support for the incorporation of blind people into the education system, workforce and society. The organisation’s motto is “Ver por los demás es un privilegio que todos debemos compartir.” (“To see for others is a privilege that we must all share.”). |
Main ActivitiesThe organisation works with approximately two-hundred blind children, youth and adults, who participate from an early assistance and language therapy to assistance to getting a job. The organisation provides special education complementing the education received in schools, high schools and universities, including aspects such as how to move around, qualification in Braille reading and writing, music and computer science. |

More Information
The project is available to start in February every year for 6-12 months.
