Brief description and main aims

Hogar Sucre hosts young children and adolescents who have decided to leave their homes or who have been abandoned.

Main Activities

Assisting the administrator in providing school support to the children, participating in sports, theater, music, etc.

Volunteer tasks

The volunteer is expected to:

• help children with their homework and household chores
• participate in the bakery training workshops 
• look for markets to sell  the products they make
• help sell the bread that is baked in the center
• serve food to the children
• organize leisure and sports activities for the children and teens

Volunteer requirements / Skills

The volunteer should:

• be older than 18
• have some knowledge of Spanish
• be able to work as a team player
• have skills and knowledge in education, sports and/or handicraf

Location

The project is located in Sucre.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteer will live with a host family or in the community.
