Pi Youth Association is a youth association established in 2014 to enable young people in Turkey to develop knowledge, skills, positive attitudes, and behaviours. Pi Youth Association’s target group contains all individuals and youth workers between the ages of 15-30 living in Turkey. Women, refugees, and disabled people have priority. Furthermore, we are one of the most active youth NGOs in the field of Erasmus plus and ESC. Every year we send more than 100 Turkish youngsters all over Europe.
Our association’s activities are carried out in three different categories being in local, national, and international levels. Our local works are for the empowerment and support of the youth living in İzmir. Nearly 1,000,000 young people between the ages of 15-29 live in İzmir and the total population of the city is 4.5 million.
The Republic of Turkey, was created in 1923 after the fall of the Ottoman Empire under the leadership of Kemal Atatürk.
It is a vast country divided between Europe and Asia that shares its borders with various countries.
Turkey has a diverse set of ecosystems and habitats for both plants and animals. There are also 40 national parks, 189 nature parks, 31 nature preserve areas, 80 wildlife protection areas, and 109 nature monuments in Turkey. In the 21st century, threats to biodiversity include desertification due to climate change in Turkey.
As Turkey is placed in the middle of East and West, it is not weird to see how both are seen in the Turkish culture, which is a melting pot. You can therefore find a lot of cultural heritage in Turkey with several places have also been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List so far.
