Brief description and main aimsThe main propose of the project is to work as a centre for disabled children with rehabilitation. It is run by the catholic church. The centre hosts children with various disabilities. A lot of them just appeared one day, so there is nothing known about their past and family circumstances. It is important to give them a home and care. The rehabilitation gives possibilities to work with the physically disabled. |
Main ActivitiesThe main activity of this project is to create a place for the children to feel at home and to feel wanted. There someone takes care about them und helps with all things they need. Older, just physically disabled ones go to public schools or to university. There is a rehabilitation centre. Sometimes there are activities outside the centre for all the children. |

LocationThe project is located in one of the suburbs of Maputo, a residential area. Some services and facilities are provided in the area. It is very safe area and easily accessible by local transport. |
Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)The volunteer will live with a host family. |
