About the Project

This school in Cuenca is committed to providing children with disabilities a truly inclusive educational experience, fostering their independence with the ultimate goal of enabling them to transition to regular schooling in the future. Students engage in a range of classes tailored to their individual developmental needs, including art, math, music, and physical education.

Volunteer Tasks

The volunteer can participate in a variety of tasks such as:

  • Supporting the staff in any way
  • Helping to teach English, math, arts
  • Planning classes and taking care of the children
  • Recreational activities: outdoors games, workshops, theater plays, etc.

Timetable: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm

Volunteer Requirements

The volunteers should like to work with children and feel comfortable playing with them, teaching them and taking care of them. Volunteers also must be very proactive, flexible and be ready to help in any need of the school. Basic Spanish skills are helpful but not necessary.
