Brief description and main aims

To offer a quality and warm service to children and adolescents at risk whose rights are violated, providing them with an Institutional Foster Care based on the Technical Standard and other legal tools with a vision of law and with basic services of health, nutrition, education, psycho-pedagogical care and comprehensive training for the duration of the process aimed at family reintegration, autonomy or adoption. 

Main Activities

Comprehensive care for children and adolescents in vulnerable situations.
- Social intervention.
- Family accompaniment.
- Home visits.
- Home assistance.
- Psychological care and support. Among others. 

Volunteer tasks

- Accompaniment in recreational activities: games, outdoor activities, handcrafts, art, sports
- Care, homework monitoring, general services and attention to children and pre-adolescents.
 
Timetable: Monday to Friday 
 

Volunteer requirements / Skills

nteers require skills for working with children and babies such as:
  • patience, initiative, energy and joy.
  • A basic knowledge of Spanish is required.

Location

The project is located in the city of Ambato, 3 hours from Quito (capital), a city close to indigenous communities in the Andean region of the country
