Brief description and main aims

The project is a community city that supports under aged children that have been abandoned or have been living risky situations, the community provides them a safe environment in which children have access to health, education, hosting and food services. 

Main Activities

In the community city the children have access to a school, health center departments, etc. Internal children are getting all this services, while external children are coming to get education in the school. Internal children are around 200 children and external children are around 1200 children. 

Volunteer tasks

Volunteers will be able to assist in different areas depending on their abilities or desires: 

  • Teaching: primary school, math, sociology, languages, etc.
  • Social work: taking care of the children, assisting them in homework, evaluating social situations, etc. 
  • Artistical or sporting workshops
  • Administrative work, managing communication and design 
  • Technical workshops: music, wood making, mechanics, etc. 
  • Working with the team to build or maintain the city. 

Volunteer requirements / Skills

Spanish knowledge is desirable. The volunteer has to be open to live in a community environment and to share spaces with the children.

Ventanilla is located at the north of the Callao state

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Living with the children in the community city, volunteers flat or host family.
