Nisarga Vidya Samsthe (Nisarga Public School) was established in June 2012 in small village calleg Nagali since so many governmemt schools had been shut down in rural areas which already had high levels of illiteracy.
Prema Kumari, the school's founder thought about starting a school that would provide quality education to the rural children and considering the Right Education Act , the government had to provide 40% free education to the rural and poor formers children.
We have children aged between 4-13 years old who study from 1st grade to 8th grade, our target group are poor families and formers. We don't believe in any religion but we do believe in inclusive education. We have a very small group of staff members, around 9 individuals, at the school.
Volunteers can lean many things in our project as well as in our villages, like Indian culture, traditions, Indian family, farmers, leaving situation and practices of our daily routine life.
