Brief description and main aims

Fundacion VASE-ICYE Ecuador is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the social situation in Ecuador through volunteering.

Main Activities

The organization’s main work is the coordination of incoming and outgoing short- and long-term volunteers (including seminars and cultural trips), host families, and social projects.

Volunteer tasks

There is a lot of flexibility based on the volunteer’s desires and interests. They will most likely work with the short-term program and seminars (orientation, midterm, final camp) and monitoring (project and family visits) for long term volunteers. Depending on the volunteer’s interests, there is also work to do on VASE’s social media representation.

Volunteer requirements / Skills

The volunteer should:
  • have a good level of English
  • basic knowledge of Spanish
  • have PC literacy (Word, Excel, Access)
  • be diligent and reliable in their work
  • be willing to work overtime in peak seasons

Downtown Quito.
