Brief description and main aims
Fundacolven is a colombo-venezuelan non-profit foundation dedicated to the attention and creation of long-term solutions for the migrant population from Venezuela (among other nationalities) and homeless
people, in order to achieve their socio-economic integration, to help improve their quality of life and thus allow their settlement in Colombia.

Main ActivitiesFundacolven has 4 main aims: labor market insertion; immigration legal advice; personal training (abilities) and development; and medicine, food, and clothes donation. |
Volunteer tasks
•Organise and classify the clothes donations according to the sizes.
•Support the team in the “Ropero solidario” (solidarity closet), where people buy second-hand clothes to support the foundation.
•Make the food and clothes kits, help the staff distribute them to people in vulnerable conditions, etc.
•Organise and classify medicines with the indication and support of professionals.
•Propose new activities to do with the people who come to the foundation.
•Support other activities or events the foundation has.
•Support with the social media of the foundation.

Volunteer requirements / Skills
A male/female The expected volunteer must be very active, have a great disposition, and have a good attitude. He/she must be open to the interaction and support of refugees or homeless people, which might include people with no possibility to have personal hygiene.

Bogotá is the capital of Colombia and the political, economic, administrative, industrial, artistic, cultural, and sports center of the country. It is the biggest city in Colombia, the third highest in the world above sea level and known for its high number of universities, libraries and cultural events. It has a population estimated at around 10 million.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)
The volunteer will be living outside of the project with a host family.
