Fundación CultivandoSonrisasprovides a secure home environment for vulnerable girls in Medellín.
Girls move into the home in their early years, removing them from high-risk situations including poverty, prostitution and substance addiction. The project’s objective is to provide a secure environment for the girls so they feel at home from infancy, enabling them to successfully complete their education and ultimately positively transition into adulthood.
The foundation aims to change the perspectives of the young girls. It aims to provide a family-like environment for the young girls, as opposed to that of an institution. There are currently 20 girls living in the project.
The volunteer tasks include:
Supporting garage sales to help raise funds.
