Brief description and main aims

Hogar 'Tata San Juan de Dios'  is a Catholic project which works with abandoned newly born babies and orphaned young children aged between 0 and 5 years old.

Main Activities

Hogar 'Tata San Juan de Dios'  main activity is to provide housing and care for children while they wait for an adoption or a decision of the court.

Volunteer tasks

The volunteer is expected to:

• feed and to look after the babies in the care center
• read stories to the children
• take children to school
• help to organize leisure activities for the children

Volunteer requirements / Skills

The volunteer must like working with babies, which requires a lot of patience and enthusiasm. The volunteer should also be responsible and respect the schedule.

Location

The project is located in Sucre.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteer will live with a host family.
