Brief description and main aims

Casa del Sol helps vulnerable children from 0 to 8 years old develop their full potential and find them a family. The project provides education and a house for homeless children.

Main Activities

The project offers a home for children and babies. It also looks for adoptive parents. Finally, they assure good education to their children, through an alliance with other kindergartens and elementary schools located close by.

Volunteer tasks

  • Play with the children
  • Accompany children to their therapies
  • Make beds
  • Clean children’s toys
  • Help the children eat
  • Help the children change their clothes
  • General tasks in the house: sorting clothes, helping to look after the babies, feeding, changing their nappy
 

Volunteer requirements / Skills

  • Be German 
  • Enjoy being with young children and/or babies
  • Basic Spanish is desirable
  • To have patience with children and lots of energy
  • Age between 18 –26 years old
  • Willing to work in the same activity for a long time (for example sorting socks for some hours) 

Location

The project is located in Puebla.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteers will live at the project.
