About

Yangcheon YMCA is a physical education and community centre in the Yang-Cheon community that targets community members between 4 and 80 years. The centre contribute to creating a healthy environment for children and offering opportunities for community members to meet.

The centre offers courses like swimming, gymnastic, art, pottery, computer, English conversation. Community members can also participate in outdoor exercises and many more activities.

Location

The centre is in the community of Yangcheon-gu in Seoul

Volunteer Requirements

• Volunteer should be pro-active, creative, patient and interested in working with children.
• They must be open-minded, social, patient, and willing to learn the Korean language quickly.
• Volunteers should have a sound knowledge of English.

Volunteer Tasks

Volunteers will assist the teachers in the different classes, helping with day-to-day tasks and different kinds of activities. They engage with the children and adults playing games, singing songs, telling stories.
