Thong Sia Siang Teung Foundation and the hospital they operate have offered rescue in emergencies services since 1956. All staff as well as the volunteers that accompany them have been trained before participating in any rescue missions. Most of the rescue team speak English or Chinese to attend to the majority of tourists visiting the city.

Accommodation

Volunteers will stay at a local host family. They will either stay in a private or shared room with another volunteer. Volunteers are expected to eat Thai food that the local host family will prepare and also support with preparing the meals. Volunteers should be prepared to cook some of their own national dishes

Volunteer Tasks

Volunteers work as an assistant and support the rescue team, helping with first aid, taking patients to the hospital, and any other work needed to help people who had an accident or other health emergency.
