About
The Oakom Robotics Academy was founded in 2018 by Rev. Kofi Owusu-Ansah and his wife. During their stay in Canada, the couple observed that the Canadian educational system placed strong emphasis on artificial intelligence, robotics, and STEM subjects. Inspired by this approach, they decided to introduce the same focus at their school. The school aims to inspire young Ghanaians and nurture their passion for science and technology through robotics engineering. It has a population of about 700 pupils and admits children aged 2 to 15 years into its crèche, primary, and junior high school departments.
The Aim of the project is to:
- Develop basic mental abilities and skills of pupils.
- Instilling virtues of moral courage and social discipline in the pupils.
- Imparting knowledge and wisdom.
- Unlocking the children’s creativity and building their passion for science and technology
