About

To provide education for over 300 students from 3 – 14 years of age.

Main Activities

This private school has a kindergarten and a school where children are taught subjects such as Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music and Computation.

Location

The project is located in Carapungo, north of Quito.

Accommodation

The volunteer will live with a host family.

Volunteer tasks

Depending on their skills and desire, the volunteer can assist in many different classes, considering that the highest needs are in English, art, and music. They also have the possibility to assist the English teacher in the kindergarten. If they are doing well and enjoy their job, they can also take on the responsibility of teaching their own classes.

Volunteer requirements / Skills

• Very good level of English and Spanish
• Hard-working, proactive, organized, motivated and committed
• Have patience and willingness to teach
