About

Granito de Arena is an international organisation that wants to positively impact the lives of the most vulnerable by providing them with the basic needs and offering psychological support. In their center children and youth from 3 to 25 years, who have been sexually abused, are offered psychological support and different types of therapies.

They engage in campaigns against child sexual abuse, like Cuida por Amor (care for love). This campaign raises awareness on sexual abuse of children. Granito de Arena organises chats with experts, conferences, movie screenings, and other events. They also create and distribute informative material (flyers,
etc.).

Another programme they support is called Adopta un Abuelito (adopt a grandparent), targeting elders who are homeless or abandoned by their families. The organisation provides material needs like food, wheelchairs, diapers for adults and organises events. The main objective is to provide love to the elderly and to treat them with respect.

Another programme is called Deja tu Huella (Leave your footprint) that involves the local community in
cleaning and reforestation campaigns, and also a yearly race to increase awareness about child sexual abuse.
