About the Project
The Centre for Labour Studies and Women (CETM) is a non-profit organization founded on February 15, 1986. Initially active in print media and grassroots support in urban areas, CETM expanded its activities to rural areas in 1990 and now works in communities within the municipalities of Sacaba, Tacopaya, and Arbieto.
CETM’s objectives are to:
- Improve the Quality of Education: By formally qualifying pedagogical practices and providing guidance to foster attitudes, values, and knowledge that eliminate discrimination and gender stereotypes, while considering the needs and interests of children.
- Promote Holistic Health and Awareness: Through a bio-psychosocial approach to social issues, education, training, ecology, infrastructure, food sovereignty, and citizenship, with a focus on gender equity and environmental considerations.
- Provide Technical Training: To improve household economies through additional income generation.
- Support Integrated Development: In areas including comprehensive health, education, training, ecology, infrastructure, food sovereignty, and citizenship, ensuring cross-gender equity and environmental sustainability. This also involves improving the quality of education, health education, developing comprehensive communities, establishing a Center for Knowledge Exchange and Apprenticeship, and engaging in cultural activities.
