About

This project aims to combat child labor and ensure child safety by offering essential childcare services to the workers of Quito’s markets. Five centers are strategically located across the north, downtown, and south of the city. Specifically, the Mariscal and Carollo centers provide education, meals, and shelter for working and street children from surrounding areas, enabling a safe place to stay while their parents are engaged in their work.

This initiative provides daycare for infants, academic support for older children, and extracurricular activities, primarily for those working on the streets or in markets, while also offering support to their families.

Location

Quito-Pichincha

The Project has a presence in three distinct parts of Quito. The Mariscal area, in northern Quito, is a touristic hub with extensive nightlife where many parents work. The second center is in San Roque, a historical and also touristic area. The third location groups Chiriyacu, Carollo, and Mayorista in the south of the city.
