About
Bongo Football Club (Bongo FC) is a grassroots football academy dedicated to empowering underprivileged children and youth aged 10–18 years through sport. The academy uses football as a platform to promote physical fitness, personal development, education, and social inclusion, helping young people build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. In addition to football training, Bongo FC supports the holistic development of its players by creating opportunities for emotional, intellectual, and life skills growth, enabling them to recognise and maximise their full potential both on and off the field.
They organise activities in the following areas:

- Enhance communication and interpersonal skills.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Promote decision-making, goal setting, and personal responsibility.
- Build resilience, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.
Accommodation
To ensure volunteers’ comfort, safety, and well-being, accommodation is arranged in a quieter and more peaceful neighbourhood, approximately 10–15 km away from where the project is located. Volunteers travel to the project site using public transportation (daladala which is a city mini-bus).
