Banghwa 11 Welfare Center has been operating since 1994 with the purpose of contributing to healthy communities and empowering low-income groups to tackle their challenges independently.
Project Aim
The project supports communities holistically by empowering low-income economically, creating a healthy environment for children and youth, organising leisure activities for seniors, strengthening the adaptive ability of people differently abled, promoting cooperation and solidarity among residents and improvinig the welfare for residents.

• Taking care of senior
• Taking care of people with physical disabilities
Location
The project is located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
Volunteer Requirements
- The volunteer must be interested in working with children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities.
- Volunteers must be open-minded, social, patient, creative and willing to learn the Korean language quickly.
- Volunteers must be able to work independently, take initiative and be self motivated with the ability to motivate others.
Volunteer Tasks
The volunteer will help out in the center through various tasks from Monday to Friday. These tasks include helping the teachers in the Kindergarten and being an assistant teacher in the English class for adults and the art class for children. The volunteer will also spend time helping out in the restaurant for seniors and day-care center for differently abled adults.
Accommodation
The volunteer will be accommodated in the YMCA Hotel (with a roommate).
