About
The School offers courses in basic education:
- Arts and sciences, humanities and commercial studies
- Summer school courses are available with different themes
- Extra-curricular activities like girls guide, boys scout, Red Cross are available during the week for students
Location
The project is located in Sagamu, a town located in the Ogun state.
Accommodation
The volunteer will stay with a host family.
Volunteer tasks
- Assisting in classroom teaching (i.e. crosschecking of alphabets, teaching painting, drawing, music and nursery rhymes)
- Introducing activities that will encourage young people to stay in school
Volunteer requirements / Skills
- Be ready to work with children
- Be willing to learn the local language (Yoruba)
- Be open minded and preferably have teaching skills (but not necessary)
All teachers in the project speak English.
