About

The school provides formal education for children in and around the Efiduase Community. It admits kids who are between the ages of 2 and 15 into their nursery, primary and junior high school departments.

The aims of the school are to:

• ensure that the children play and work independently and be
  able to share and cooperate with others
• teach children a sense of respect and self-confidence and
  be aware of the needs of others.
• give the children knowledge of skills and practical
  activities

Accommodation

The project provides accommodation for the volunteers; this could either be with a host family or living in the project. You will be sharing a room with other volunteers. The project and ICYE GHANA will provide the meals during their stay.

Volunteer Tasks

• Assisting the teacher in the classroom.
• Taking care of the children.
• Performing administrative duties.
• Assist students who might need special care or attention
  in some related subject.

Volunteer Requirements

• Volunteers should be motivated to work with children,
• They should be fluent in English,
• They should be friendly and open minded
