About the Project

This initiative caters to school-aged children with total or partial auditory-sensory deficits. It comprises an audiological institute and a public college specifically for young people with sensory-audiological deficiencies. The institute provides high-quality special education and extensive occupational therapy.
The program aims to offer these children the opportunity to study and develop specialized skills. These skills are intended to aid their self-development, enabling them to lead normal lives within society.

Volunteer Tasks

The volunteer works along with the regular staff in the school. During the day the volunteer works with the staff in supporting and helping the teacher-therapist within the classroom, assists in everyday activities and participates in artistic and creative workshops.

Volunteer Requirements

Capacity of team work and childcare, manual skills, patience and a lot of initiative. Also, the volunteer must have the will and ability to deal and work with deaf children. They must be open-minded, social, tolerant, creative and willing to learn the sign language quickly.
