About
IED INEM Francisco José de Caldas is a public school located in Popayán, the main city of the region. The school operates daily, with classes typically held from Monday to Saturday during the morning shift. It serves students of all ages, from preschool to high school.
In addition to its academic curriculum, the school runs a variety of complementary projects. Environmental education is a key priority due to the rural context of the area. As such, the school implements initiatives such as recycling programs and a school garden focused on cultivating medicinal plants.
Volunteers have the opportunity to support and participate in several school projects, including recycling activities, “De Paso en el Museo” (Going Through the Museum), and the school garden (huerta escolar).
They may also contribute to the school’s communication efforts by assisting with social media and website management.
