About the Project

PRIMOK S.A.S. offers a bilingual intercultural education program in Cañar, with the primary goal of teaching English to local children and young people. Foreign, fluent English speakers serve as teachers, facilitating a participatory space for cultural exchange among diverse groups, including indigenous and mestizo populations. Furthermore, the program incorporates activities designed to boost the tourism potential of the canton, province, and country.

Location

Azogues, Cañar. This safe Andean canton, with characteristically low crime rates, is home to the school located centrally at Av. 24 de Mayo and Ingapirca Avenue. Volunteer accommodation is a short, efficient, and affordable 8-minute bus ride away. Cañar’s population is 60% indigenous, with agriculture and livestock forming the economic base.
