About

The Kindergarden “Joaquin Figueroa” is a public institution, which focuses on providing the best education at the preschool level, so children can develop life-lasting skills and gain a global vision. They receive care and education according to their age.

Other objectives are:

  • Provide them with opportunities and skills for their development.
  • Increase their multicultural learning
  • Develop language skills
  • Provide free education to children with low economic resources.

Regular activities in the project include:

  • Handicraft
  • Exercise
  • Games
  • Learning and integration activities

The Jardín de Niños Joaquín Figueroa also gives talks and workshops for the families.

Most of the children who attend this kindergarten come from dysfunctional and poor families. Moreover, as a public institution, the kindergarten lacks resources for its activities. Therefore, the volunteer might be able to see a different reality from their country.
