About

“Estancia y Jardin Infantil Caritas” is a nursery and school for children whose parents work all day and don’t have enough economic resources to pay for a private school or nursery. The age of children can be between 3 and 6
years old. The project takes care of children for 6 hours every day. During this time, the children receive food and basic education at a kindergarten school, play games, and engage in pre-school activities.

The project is part of the private association “Caritas”, but also includes the governmental school registered as “Jardin de Niños”. They therefore follow the rules and instructions of the national education system.

Volunteer Tasks

• Take care of the children (help them with basic activities)
• Assist the teachers
• Play with the children and help them to realisee activities
• Help the staff to serve food, and support the children during meals.

Volunteer Requirements

• an interest in working with small children
• an interest in teaching and also helping teachers with educational activities.
• be patient.
