About

EUtopia is a reality immersed in the countryside of Northern Italy. Volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with nature and to give new life to the structure and the land around it. The idea is making the place safe and inclusive for vulnerable young people in future Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and volunteering projects like the European Solidarity Corps.

Main Activities

The EUtopia Foundation was created as a meeting place for people, cultures, and ideas, where non-formal education becomes a tool for building a more sustainable and conscious future. The aim is to offer young Europeans an authentic context in which to experiment with new ways of living on the planet, share common values, and build supportive communities.

Location

Casaleggio Boiro is a small comune in the Province of Alessandria, in the Piedmont region of Italy — it covers about 12.2 km² and lies at an elevation of around 321 metres above sea level. Much of its territory belongs to Parco Naturale delle Capanne di Marcarolo, a protected natural area marked by wooded hills, valleys, streams and lush vegetation typical of the border region between Piedmont and Liguria. The surrounding landscape features dense forests of chestnut and oak trees, mixed Mediterranean-alpine vegetation, and a rugged terrain shaped by hills and valleys — a natural environment that recalls a wild, untouched Italy.

Accommodation

Volunteers will share a room with other volunteers.
