Yangcheon YMCA is a physical education and community centre in the Yang-Cheon community that targets community members between 4 and 80 years.

Project Aim

The centre contribute to creating a healthy environment for children and offering opportunities for community members to meet.

Project Activities

• The centre offers courses like swimming, gymnastic, art, pottery, computer, English conversation.
• Community members can also participate in outdoor exercises and many more activities.

Location

The centre is in the community of Yangcheon-gu in Seoul

Volunteer Requirements

• Volunteer should be pro-active, creative, patient and interested in working with children.
• They must be open-minded, social, patient, and willing to learn the Korean language quickly.
• Volunteers should have a sound knowledge of English.

Volunteer Tasks

Volunteers will assist the teachers in the different classes, helping with day-to-day tasks and different kinds of activities. They engage with the children and adults playing games, singing songs, telling stories.
