Nepal’s health system is still far below the international standard. Working in a community hospital or health post, shadowing local medical professionalsm you will learn a lot about healthcare practices in a country of the Global South .
The aim of the programme is to provide health care services at an affordable cost with quality health services for local community members. At the same time, to produce skilled health professionals by providing them with an opportunity to explore their knowledge and skill.
Notes
- Volunteers must bring a white coat or scrub, as without this volunteers are not allowed to work.
- Volunteers will mostly be observing due to the potential risks, and medical regulations. This means that you will not treat patients.

Food and Accommodation
Volunteers will mostly stay with host families or share rooms with international volunteers of the same gender who are also participating in the programme. Three meals a day (lunch, snack, and dinner) will be provided during your stay. The food is prepared in local style. Main types of food will be rice, lentil soup and vegetables.
