About the Project

To develop projects or initiatives that conserve and protect ecosystems and wildlife habitat, through initiatives that involve people and wildlife.
To contribute to the protection of the environment, promoting knowledge and awareness of biodiversity through the creation of unforgettable experiences, the implementation of scientific research programs, education, management and breeding of fauna and flora applied to the conservation of animal and plant species, ecosystems and native ethnic groups of Ecuador.

Cuenca, Azuay

Accommodation

Volunteers live inside the project, and they have shared spaces (kitchen, living room), they have to prepare their own food so it helps to develop their independence and responsibility.

Volunteer Tasks

  • Fauna care: feeding and cleaning of the enclosures of the housed fauna.
  • Reforestation with native flora within the biopark grounds.
  • Biotherium laboratory: reproduction of bugs.
  • Adequacy: improvement of enclosures, cleaning, construction of areas for the species.
  • Administrative work.
  • Educational guides, support in vacation colonies or educational talks.
  • Make compost, fertilizer, and nursery.
