About the Project
The Sayariy Warmi “Levantate Mujer” Foundation, founded in October 2011 by the Congregation of “Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Buen Pastor,” is a non-profit organization operating in Bolivia. It focuses on boys, girls, adolescents, women, and families of all ages who are in situations of risk and social disadvantage, with a particular emphasis on women victims of violence and migrants from rural areas.
The foundation’s primary aim is to restore the dignity of women, children, and adolescents who are victims of trafficking and violence. It seeks to empower them to become active agents in transforming their realities and to contribute to building a fairer and more equitable society. Sayariy Warmi provides support and restitution of human rights through reception, protection, training, and reinstatement, fostering networks that promote personal and social transformation. The institution works with victims of gender violence, trafficking, intra-family violence, and sexual violence.
Sayariy Warmi implements its mission through the following programs:
- Non-Violence in Family Context: This program offers trainings and seminars to local and rural families to prevent intra-family violence.
- Integral Development for Children and Adolescents: This program provides temporary hosting, pedagogical support, and operates a soup kitchen.
- Economic Justice: This program focuses on training in labor skills such as clothing production, bakery, and loom weaving, and strengthens productive enterprises.
