About the Project
CIMET (Center for Integral Development of Working Children and Adolescents) focuses on the holistic development of street children and adolescents through four main areas: Health, Pedagogical Support, Social Assistance, and Nutrition.
The center offers support for their integral development, providing opportunities for them to learn or enhance skills. For instance, they can be trained as tourist guides in the city’s historical general cemetery.
Key service areas include:
- Health Area: Provides medical and dental protection and assistance.
- Pedagogical Area: Develops and strengthens knowledge, values, and skills through school support, pedagogical reinforcement, and art workshops.
- Nutrition Area: Supplies food to children and adolescents to support their physical development.
- Social Assistance: Promotes support for children and adolescents in cooperation with other services.
- Family Health: Works to prevent intrafamily violence.
