About
The Begoro Salvation Army Rehabilitation Centre is one of the few facilities in eastern Ghana providing subsidized physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities. Its services primarily support economically disadvantaged individuals who have limited access to healthcare.
The Centre offers a range of services, including support for children and adults with disabilities through its Social Rehabilitation Unit, as well as physiotherapy in dedicated gym and therapy spaces. It also provides assistive devices—such as those for individuals with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, or those recovering from stroke—through its Orthotics and Prosthetics Unit.
In addition, the Centre delivers mental health services, addresses malnutrition, and conducts community education to reduce the incidence of disabilities and related health challenges. It also runs a special school for children and young people with disabilities, currently serving around 30 pupils aged 6 to 20.
