About

Aldea S.O.S. is an international NGO that has been working since 1949. It looks to provide children with basic necessities and protect their human rights. This project gives a permanent home and a healthy environment for children. It helps them to build their own future and to be involved in the development of their communities. Each kid lives in a house with an “SOS Mother”, and plays
in the village with other children, as brothers and sisters do.

The project also provides physical and psychological rehabilitation through different kinds of therapy. Finally, Aldeas SOS helps the community through social centers, kindergartens, clinics, training centers and schools for the general public.

Volunteer Tasks

• Assist teachers with academic tasks
• Assist teachers during physical rehabilitation
• Assist in sports lessons for children with or without disabilities.
• General support in the village

Volunteer Requirements

• Only female volunteers.
• Intermediate level of Spanish
• Interest in working with children and youngsters with disabilities
• Enthusiasm and willingness to help others
• Patience and sensibility
