Brief description and main aims
The aim of the school is to give the children of Cuenca who have disabilities the chance to have a truly inclusive education where the goal is that they can develop independence and can go to a regular school in the future

Cultural Exposure
Cuenca is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, and is split by four rivers, colonial style streets, european style architecture, churches and cathedrals, incan ruins and cultural markets and buildings filled with art and handicrafts. The project itself is located in a safe area in Cuenca that is easy to access by the public transportation system.

Main ActivitiesThe children arrive at school and have a variety of classes according to their developmental needs, these include art, math, music, P.E |
Volunteer tasks
The volunteer can participate in a variety of tasks such as:
- Supporting the staff in any way
- Helping to teach English, math, arts
- Planning classes and taking care of the children
- Recreational activities: outdoors games, workshops, theater plays, etc.

Volunteer requirements / Skills
The volunteers should like to work with children and feel comfortable playing with them, teaching them and taking care of them. Volunteers also must be very proactive, flexible and be ready to help in any need of the school. Basic Spanish skills are helpful but not necessary.
