Brief description and main aims

ICYE Nepal is seeking a Content Writing and Social Media Volunteer / Intern to develop and promote our meaningful volunteering and internship activities. Interested volunteers from across the world can join our program and have a great opportunity for personal and professional growth while also positively changing the life of disadvantaged and underprivileged Nepalese people.

Main Activities

The volunteer or intern in content writing and social media with experience in marketing and/or advertising will support our mission by marketing our range of projects and activities, liaising with advertisers, and establishing and maintaining connections with other organizations. If you possess a good communication ability and are a web savvy, you are the right fit for this position. Volunteers with experience using Facebook, Twitter, online blogging, marketing, and/or advertising, excellent oral and written communication skills, experience living abroad, attention to detail, and unwavering determination are welcome to apply. Volunteers should also have strong writing abilities and the capacity to produce engaging content.

Volunteer tasks

• Develop, enforce, and control our social media strategy 
• Work on generating text, picture, videos for one of a kind social system as in step with the context 
• Engage with the target audience on all relevant social platforms 
• Manage and oversee social media content material 
• Stay updated with the latest social media satisfactory practices and technologies 
• Stay updated with the forefront trying out and automation developments and capitalize through growing social posts around the trend/topic.

Volunteer requirements / Skills

• Volunteers must be at least 17 years old, should be reliable and show eagerness as well as be able to maintain their motivation. 
• Volunteers should also show creativity and initiative while taking part in this agriculture and farming volunteer program in Nepal. 
• Most important volunteers need to have confidence in their work and have time and management skills to ensure an effective support. 
• Should know how to promote social media and attract volunteer to do different projects in Nepal. ) • Knowledge on how to use photoshop, Graphic and SEO
• Take advantage of Your Experience to ensure to bring a positive change and create possible impact on both side you and project. 

Location

Kathmandu and Rural Part of Nepal.

Duration

4 to 12 weeks.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

volunteers will stay with host family. You will be sharing rooms with international volunteers of the same gender participating in the same program. Three meals a day (lunch, snack, and dinner) will be provided during your stay. The food is prepared in local style. Main types of food will be rice, lentil soup and vegetables.
