Brief description and main aims

The Municipality of Cordova belongs to Cebu Island of Visayas. 25% of the population are poor and seeks medical attention at RHU. Since there is no hospital facility, it aims to provide primary health care for the community.

Main Activities

  • Medical health missions
  • Conduction of health related programs/activities
  • Disaster risk and reduction management activities

Volunteer tasks

  • Clerical duties
  • Conduct trainings and join monthly meetings
  • Assist in other activities/task by MHO and PHN
  • Meet and interact with local community like staff of RHU, local government and other local communities
  • Assist with the coordination of health programs in the local communities

Volunteer requirements / Skills

  • Preferably has experience in Hospital and community organizing
  • Have a bigger heart for the disadvantaged and less privileged People
  • Flexible, open-minded and able to adopt the local situation
  • Willingness to take risks / Multi task
  • Innovative, industrious, adventurous, sociable creative and fun loving

Location

The project is located in Cordova, Cebu. The Municipality of Cordova belongs to Cebu Island of Visayas. 

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteer will live with a host family (expect to have a shared room with your host sister or brother).
