Brief description and main aims

CFI-Honduras - Centros de Formación Integrais a Christian-faith based non-profit organisation in Honduras supported by its US American organisation Connected to Serve, which since 2015 started to provide access to education to youth of the departamento (district) La Paz, who are mainly indigenous-descendant of the ethnic group Lenca, and who for many economic reasons have not continued their formal education studies, training them comprehensively with moral principles, citizenship responsibility and fostering positive and active leadership skills.

It currently works in a very small rural village called El Porvenir, near to the town San Pedro de Tutule, about 30 minutes from the town La Paz, and also in the main town La Paz. It works together with “Educatodos,” a governmental programme of the Ministry of Education of Honduras that provides distance education for youth and adults who are not able to start, continue or finish their primary and secondary education due to economic, social and geographical reasons.
